Chiang Mai, Thailand – July 15, 2024 – Hylife Global Food Co., Ltd., a leading producer and exporter of processed fruits and vegetables, has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Sinopower Co., Ltd., a renewable energy provider, to install a solar power system at its production facility in Doi Lo Subdistrict, Doi Lo District, Chiang Mai Province.
The signing ceremony was held at the NSP Rice Grain Auditorium at the Northern Science Park (Chiang Mai), with Mr. Shubhodeep Das, Group CEO of Hylife Group, Dr. Bundit Jamras, CEO of Hylife Global Food Co., Ltd., and Mrs. Anilrat Nitisaroj, President and CEO of Sinopower Co., Ltd., present as signatories.
Following the signing ceremony, a seminar was held on the topic of “Using renewable energy to enhance sustainability in the food processing and agricultural production industries” The seminar was led by Dr. Bundit Jamras, CEO of Hylife Global Food Co., Ltd., Mr. Navin Sachdev, Board of Director of Sinopower Co., Ltd., and Asst. Prof. Dr. Yingrak Auttawaitkul, Deputy Dean for Research and Academic Services, School of Renewable Energy, Maejo University. The seminar aimed to provide business partners, media representatives, and students with knowledge and experience that they can effectively share with others.
This MOA project is a strategic partnership with Sinopower Co., Ltd. to align with Hylife Global Food Co., Ltd.’s Smart Factory plan. The company aims to reduce long-term production costs, attract both domestic and international customers, and prepare for Carbon Credit certification in pursuit of long-term Carbon Neutralization.
The solar power system will cover a total area of 5,437 square meters, including Buildings A, B, C, and some parts of Building D of the factory. The total system size will be 999.38 kilowatts. Comprehensive safety measures will be implemented throughout the project.
